Malacca (Malaysia): Restoran Peranakan

After we finished exploring the night market along Jonker Walk, we “barged” into Restoran Peranakan on the next street.  It is located on a “red light street” where the shophouses are all lit up with red lanterns, but it is not a sleezy place.

The kitchen was closing but the manager was so nice to accommodate the 11 of us who were hungry, tired and craving for Peranakan food.  However, we were unable to order via the menu so the cashier told us what the kitchen could cook out for us.  It was a simple meal and it filled our tummy.

The asam fish was the best way to end our night in the heart of Melaka.
