Hong Kong: IFC Mall, Central

Posted in Hong Kong, Travel by happyhighfashion on November 6, 2009

Post shopping from SPACE, we took the bus back to Central and explored the IFC Mall!

The International Finance Centre (IFC) is a prominent mark on Hong Kong Island near Central Pier.  It comprises two office skyscrapers, a large shopping mall and the Four Seasons Hotel.   The train to Hong Kong International Airport leaves from directly beneath the IFC, and passengers can check in their luggage here.  (Source: panoramicearth)

There are quite a number of chic cafes in IFC Mall besides the high end shopping.  One such place is Fuel (Shop 3023), a sexy dark wood espresso bar with jazz albums displayed above the counter.  The decor perfectly suits the throngs of businessmen who need their caffeine to get them through the busy workday!

We settled for the Simplylife BREAD AND WINE cafe (Shop 1081) instead for a tea break.  It is a very cosy dining place with chic, modern and French-inspired with it’s round café tables and bistro style chairs.  It has a simple black, white stainless steel and cream color scheme.  They serve good coffee in fancy French coffee cups with thin rims and they also serve salads, snacks, pastas and freshly baked takeaway bread.

From where we sat, we had a very nice view of the Habour as the sun was setting.

The skies were getting darker and behold the lights of the city! People just got off work and check out the queue for the public bus.  If you think Singapore is congested, Hong Kong is sardine packed as well.  We walked back to the heart of Central where you could find all the high end boutiques such as Louis Vuitton and Hermes.
But, we headed straight for H&M located on 68 Queen’s Road, Central which is is the biggest outlet in Hong Kong. It spans 4 entire floors!
